10 Prophetic Principles
Development, Training, Function, Grace, and Faith
Last night I ministered prophetically that ver a number of pastors at a conference in Lima
During worship, as is the custom my father taught me, I asked the Holy Spirit if He had anything for people. I felt like I received 4-5 words. I got faces, pictures, impressions—and decided to step out and give them at the end.
Here’s how I explain ministering prophetically:
It’s a gift for everyone but some have a measure of grace that others don’t have. Meaning, there’s a difference between a Prophet (Ascension Gift) and a prophetic gift.
I could unpack that all day.
Bottom line? I’ve been operating in this gift since I was a teen, functioning in the office since I was 30. I have faith for certain kinds of words and authority for certain kinds of words because of what is on my life, what has been imparted into my life, and the authority I’ve been given.
I was trained by Prophets, I’ve been functioning publicly in the authority and gift, and thus I have a grace and measure of faith for it that someone starting out may not have.
That’s how pastoring and preaching works. Training. Function. Authority. Grace. It all begins to compound. An Ascension Gift Prophet is no different.
I gave a guy a word last night who was skeptical. I gave him a very specific word. I don’t know why I chose the wording of the word. But I saw a picture of him playing the drums. So I said, “Eventually, you will start loving preaching more than drumming.”
While I was ministering to others, he told me he was thinking, “Why is he being so specific? Isn’t that irresponsible.”
Then I came to him and gave him that word.
A week before he told his wife, “I think a time will come when I like preaching more than playing the drums.”
So he asks me, “Why did you say it THAT WAY?”
I said, “Because I saw a picture of you smashing drums.”
lol.
How did I see the picture?
I didn’t see it during worship/ I just got the word about preaching.
But as I stepped out, the picture came. This keeps happening to me. It’s been happening to me since I was a teen. My Dad taught me. He still tells me—every month—about how the Lord gives him words in prophetic presbytery contexts. He’s mentoring me and building my faith.
