Here’s a section of a rough chapter from a book on Hillsong NYC I’ve been working on. I’ve got three chapters to go and then we go into edits.
This section describes how Black Lives Matter decimated the church I was a part of.
It’s my story—my vantage point—how I saw things happen.
I’m probably a tad inflammatory here, I’ll probably dial back the beatdown at edits.
This latter half of the chapter discusses Carl’s Beefcake Club: the genetically blessed guys he chose as his disciples. I then begin to talk about BLM and how it infiltrated our church, and how externals and trends in Manhattan seemingly set the pace for many decisions that were made.
