K so let’s recap:

You can change your thoughts (“I’m scared of flying because of _______”) but if that’s a predominant thought that has taken root in your subconscious and has had a lot of airtime (neural pathway is dug deep), you gotta break up with this anxiety induced panic by getting into your body first.

What does this do?

It teaches your subconscious that, anytime you’re feeling overwhelmed, you can retreat deep into your body and hit pause on that thought.

Eventually, as you do this often enough, you begin to realize that you have the ability at any time to change the channel with your body.

And as you EXPERIENCE body calm and mindfulness on an airplane, your subconscious begins to believe something other than the well traveled neural pathway thought of “I’m gonna die.”
