I’m a content guy. I use a ton of Scripture in my sermons. I take the text seriously. I show people what the Bible is saying so that they have to wrestle with the voice and authority of the Divine author.
And I stack the sell by showing narrative and apostolic teaching as much as I can.
I even show passages of Scripture that could be interjections to my thesis and explain them contextually.
My struggle is not with the text or knowing the text or explaining the text. It was never that.
And I knew theology long before I knew how to communicate.
