The Cory / Forrest Saga Continued
A Response To Jonathan Pokluda In My DM’s.
Here’s what Jonathan Pokluda, pastor of Harris Creek, DM’d me tonight regarding the Cory / Forrest shindig and my take on the whole thing:
“Ok…I’ll jump in. (Getting DMs asking me to)
I’m not effeminate…and…I don’t think your take here is great. Forrest is at the top- there are a lot of bits riding his coat tails. We can say “that’s what he signed up for” and he can say “I’m offended by it”.
He’s allowed to have his feelings hurt without being too sensitive or effeminate. If it wouldn’t have hurt your feelings- that’s awesome. There’s a place for thick skin and a place for compassionate people. Lots of different gifts in the body. If he felt he was sinned against, I think it’s great to apply Matt 18:15 and work in Eph 4:3. I don’t know that this take fits in Eph 4:3 or Eph 4:29…or Matt 22:39.
My.02…take it or leave it. There’s also part of the back and forth that’s genius…I think it’s more good than bad. But you might see it differently.“
