So today is just a quick read through resources.

I pulled from DA Carson sermon library, Tim Keller sermon library, New Bible Commentary, Eugene Peterson’s commentary on 1 and 2 Samuel, Baker Encyclopedia of the Bible, and perused but didn’t use Augustine’s sermons.

I’m not doing a deep exegetical dive here. I’m going for BIG IDEAS that are not rooted in eisogesis.

I’ve seen what these commentators and preachers have observed of Eph 6 and 1 Sam 17. I’m gonna run with these big ideas.
